The Kavanaugh Confusion

The Kavanaugh Confusion

October 5, 2018 By Rich Siegel

Facebook is on very thin ice with me. I had a feeling all along I was being hacked.

For one second forget how you feel about Trump (I know, it is impossible), please admit this is by far the most transparent White House in our history. Fact check that.

Does getting Mexico and Canada to agree to a new trade deal with the United States count as an accomplishment of this administration?  On these trade deals I believe we are witnessing a tremendous business person at work.

If the Democrats had brought up Ms. Ford when they received the information Brett Kavanaugh would not have been confirmed. Whoever is in charge of the overall Democrat strategy needs to be sent out to pasture.

Where has “the truth” gone?  Be wary of the person who says they are in possession of it.

Hey Trump haters, who picked Michael Avanati to be on your side? It doesn’t matter where you play him in the field, or where you bat him, he is major league liability.

I thought the President was effective in his news conference on Monday morning in the the nice garden outside the Oval Office. But I didn’t like the way he got rough with my girl Kaitlan Collins.

Bill Cosby gets only three years in jail for being one of the biggest creeps that ever walked this planet. Both Fat Albert and Mr. Kincaid will wear the scars into eternity.

I want to get better, so please help me if you can. I have been diagnosed with “kleptomnesia”,  which means I sometimes remember the ideas of others as my own.

It was sweet hanging at the airport bar in Atlanta on a Sunday afternoon and hearing a familiar voice from my hometown. It was Charles Davis doing his usual fantastic job calling the Detroit Lions, Dallas Cowboys game.

All this while I thought the Senate committee had the market cornered on sanctimonious. I must admit, at times Kavanaugh sounded plenty like “Otter” years later denying all that partying ever happened.

I had two “loss of personal dignity moments” this weekend:  1. Sitting in the middle seat on a commercial airliner. 2. Being told I sound like “a real New Yorker”.

The Kavanaugh hearings have opened up new doors. I, for one, am taking a much harder look at my high school yearbook.

I said Kavanaugh would be confirmed last week. Alright, my prediction was off a week.

I am asking for one volunteer. Can a Trump hater come forward and confess that the man is doing a pretty good job as President? There is no need to be afraid.

Captain Jim Furyk didn’t appear to have the U.S. squad ready in Paris this weekend at the Ryder Cup. My spy on site reported back that the Americans  looked like they could give a shit.

It didn’t appear that “Brexit” put a dent in European unity at the Ryder Cup. It is pure and simple, the Euros really care, and we all understand that caring matters.

Rory Mcllroy had a very uplifting quote recently: “I never want to be defined as a golfer.” That should be mandatory reading for all dumb jocks living in the past.

It is possible Anthony Bourdain was taking some of the same medication I am currently. I listened to the clarity in his voice in one of his last shows. I hope I will not come understand why he took his own life.

Judge Kavanaugh has reminded me of something very important. We all need to fail more in this life.

Donald Trump has a blackbelt in “personal integrity assault.” This is not a good thing for Presidential decorum, but it is bad news for Richard Blumenthal, Diane Feinstein and Booker, just for a start.

Have you noticed that Trump is slow playing Rod Rosenstein. He is keeping him in the waiting room for a long time before he calls him in for surgery.

It is apparent that Buffy Brettie overindulged when he was a Yale frat boy. Ok….. I am judgemental. I have always resented Ivy League fratters. (Sorry big Bro.)

Former Secretary of State John Kerry is on a book tour defending the “Iran Deal”, and the bravery he demonstrated in Vietnam. Entitled elitists don’t know when to go away quietly.

Breaking news for the Trump haters: The primaries and the elections  are the vetting process for the person elected President. This guy is doing a pretty good job in my opinion, let him work.

I was wrong on Kavanaugh, he is not as squeaky clean as I had thought. Still, he eventually will be a Supreme Court Justice.

The second and third accusers of Kavanaugh have lost all of their credibility. We are suppose to believe all accusers 100%?

Here is a heads up to the big surprise at the end of the show:  Michael Avanati, Kirsten Gillibrand, Maxine Waters, and Don Lemon are part of Trump’s machine.

“I have met the enemy, and it is myself”.  I keep whispering this under my breath every time I hang out with my daughter Mary Kate.

The people from the Silicon Valley who are building the Facebook apps are much smarter than the users. This is a big problem.

I have some bad news for one of my followers. I have found the location and person who  hacked me. Sit tight, your day is coming.

And finally. Come on people now, let’s get together. Today is a good day to start.

The stories in this book are inspired by people and events that have brushed against the author. Rich has labels this work as fiction, but claims the authenticity of each chapter ranges from 90% to 100% in accuracy. Although in some instances names have been changed, the characters live or have lived and are not his original creation.

Each chapter is told in two parts. The first parts are told mostly as stories, while the trailers are reflections that offer the reader an opportunity to a backstage view behind Rich’s introspections. The music lyrics that introduce each chapter serve as a linkage between the verse of the chapter and the inspiration of the author.
